Ventizz Capital Partners acquires MEDOS Medizintechnik AG, a leading manufacturer of cardiac surgery products

Ventizz Capital Partners Advisory AG announces the purchase of a majority stake of leading manufacturer of cardiac surgery products MEDOS Medizintechnik AG by Ventizz Capital Fund III, LP. Among the selling parties were the two institutional investors S-UBG AG, Aachen and WGZ Initiativkapital GmbH, Muenster, and the company founders.
MEDOS Medizintechnik AG, located in Stolberg near Aachen, was established in 1984 and is the only vendor of cardiovascular assisting systems which covers the short term segment of heart surgery and the middle- and long term segments of assisting systems. The existing MEDOS cardiovascular assisting system is one of the market leaders in Europe and is also sold in the US. MEDOS offers proprietary and highly innovative products, like blood pumps with diagonally streamed rotor or drivers for artificial hearts. With 185 employees and 30 sales representatives around the world, MEDOS is a globally active company.
Ventizz Capital Partners plans to invest additional expansion financing in order to accelerated the company´s future growth. “With its high quality and innovative cardiology products, Medos is very well positioned in the market and we see attractive further growth opportunities, especially in non - European markets,” adds Reinhard Loechner, Managing Partner at Ventizz Capital Partners.
